Someone is diagnosed with a Parkinsonian disorder every 9 minutes. It is estimated that there are 1.5 million people in the US with PD and 1 out of 10 people over the age of 55 will be diagnosed with it.
Parkinson’s disease is challenging to live with. It shouldn’t be a challenge for those living with it to find the local support and exercise programs that they need.
MAPS currently funds 9 programs throughout the state of Maryland and there is a demand for more! We currently serve 200+ people living with PD. These programs are provided at NO COST but we couldn’t do it without your support.
During the week of October 7th MAPS will be hosting a fundraising event to reach a goal of $50,000. Your donation will provide more people living with PD access to evidence based exercise programs at no cost to them.
